Medalist Kathy Thibodeaux founded Ballet Magnificat in order to
share her vision of classical ballet performed in the contexts of
faith and spirituality.
Ballet Magnificat! School of the Arts
serves students from age three to adult, offering a variety of training
opportunities, including a summer dance intensive and teachers workshops.
Dancers are challenged by the high-energy and athletic quality of
the programs.

The Greater Jackson Arts Council
is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization that works in public/private
partnership with the City of Jackson and the Jackson Convention
& Visitors Bureau. Our agency also receives public funding from
the Mississippi Arts Commission, Hinds County Board of Supervisors,
U.S. Department of Education, and the National Endowment for the
Arts. Additionally, our programs and services are supported by private
foundations, corporate donors, our volunteer board of directors,
and individuals committed to cultural development in the city.
