One of MississippiÕs premiere performing arts organizations, Ballet Mississippi is dedicated to providing the state with high quality dance, from traditional to modern. The company also teaches some of the brightest young talent in the South. Visiting principal dancers from top companies all over the U.S. and abroad are featured alongside its students. Advanced and intermediate students can audition for membership in the Ballet Mississippi Youth Ballet.

Artistic Director David Keary began with the Jackson Ballet and went on to dance under George Balanchine at the New York City Ballet.
