The Community Foundation of Greater Jackson is
a nonprofit community corporation created by and for the people
of Hinds, Rankin and Madison counties. They help charitable donors
establish permanent giving funds that reflect individual philanthropic
interests while also making a long-term positive impact on the community.
The Foundation awards grants through an annual
competitive cycle, which requires submission of an application.
Other funds are awarded in the form of scholarships. The Foundation
manages more than 90 funds consisting of $11 million in endowed
assets and $3 million in pass-through assets.

The Greater Jackson Arts Council
is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization that works in public/private
partnership with the City of Jackson and the Jackson Convention
& Visitors Bureau. Our agency also receives public funding from
the Mississippi Arts Commission, Hinds County Board of Supervisors,
U.S. Department of Education, and the National Endowment for the
Arts. Additionally, our programs and services are supported by private
foundations, corporate donors, our volunteer board of directors,
and individuals committed to cultural development in the city.
