Like over 1,500 similar organizations nationwide, the Downtown Jackson Partners is committed to changing both the aesthetic and economic environment of downtown. Their mission is to make the urban space clean, safe and bustling.

Downtown Jackson Partners strives to promote the downtown district and help it grow in exciting directions. With a weekly publication, promotion of more than fifteen annual events, and support of more than twenty-five restaurants, DJP is dedicated to do whatever it takes to inspire, assist and promote private real estate development in Downtown Jackson.

The Greater Jackson Arts Council is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization that works in public/private partnership with the City of Jackson and the Jackson Convention & Visitors Bureau. Our agency also receives public funding from the Mississippi Arts Commission, Hinds County Board of Supervisors, U.S. Department of Education, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Additionally, our programs and services are supported by private foundations, corporate donors, our volunteer board of directors, and individuals committed to cultural development in the city.
