The Jackson Arts and Music FoundationŐs energetic celebration of music, arts, crafts and food in downtown Jackson, affectionately known as Jubilee! JAM, has become a staple of the city each year in June. In 1987, Jubilee! JAM started as a small event and has grown into one of the largest arts and music festivals in Mississippi, attracting more than 45,000 in 1999. The Southeast Tourism Society has consistently included Jubilee! JAM among its list of the Top 20 events in the Southeast.

Now in its 19th year, Jubilee! JAM past performers include Bob Dylan, James Brown, Little Richard, the Neville Brothers, Gregg Allman, Al Green, Dr. John, the Temptations, and Bonnie Raitt.
