The Jackson Convention and Visitors Bureau (JCVB)
promotes Jackson as a tourist, group tour, and convention/meeting
destination. JCVBÕs top three departments (Administration, Marketing,
and Sales/Services) offer free services to visitors, convention/meeting
planners, group tour providers, local hotels, restaurants, retailers,
and attractions.
The JCVB offers free visitor information services
such as area brochures, maps, and other information pieces.
Farish Street Heritage Festival The second
oldest African-American community festival in the state of Mississippi
features three stages of live entertainment from national, regional,
and local artists and performers.

The Greater Jackson Arts Council
is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization that works in public/private
partnership with the City of Jackson and the Jackson Convention
& Visitors Bureau. Our agency also receives public funding from
the Mississippi Arts Commission, Hinds County Board of Supervisors,
U.S. Department of Education, and the National Endowment for the
Arts. Additionally, our programs and services are supported by private
foundations, corporate donors, our volunteer board of directors,
and individuals committed to cultural development in the city.
