The Mississippi Arts Commission is the official
statewide grantsmaking and service agency for the arts. Additionally,
the agency maintains a roster of artists and arts education professionals
available for performances, workshops, residencies, and other community
programs.
The Mississippi Arts Commission believes that--through
the arts--diverse communities of all sizes can better identify shared
values, create vibrant public spaces, enhance the effectiveness
of schools, and attract visitors. After all, fostering excellence
in the arts provides the inspiration to generate a higher quality
of life for citizens.
