The mission of the Mississippi Commission for Volunteer Service
is to engage and support Mississippians of all ages and backgrounds
in service to their communities.
Mississippi Commission for Volunteer
Service
A Dream
The Mississippi Commission for Volunteer service began with a small
staff and a big dream: to make good things happen for Mississippi
through the power of volunteers.
Now that dream is coming
true in every Mississippi County.
Since 1994 when it was established to promote community service
and volunteerism to help meet local needs more effectively, the
Mississippi Commission for Volunteer Service had brought new resources
to the state's volunteers and volunteer organizations. We believe
that volunteers are a powerful force for community improvement,
whose efforts make the most of limited resources; the Commission
seeks to involve Mississippians to make a difference in every community
in the state.
Be Part of the Story.
