The Mississippi Metropolitan Ballet mission is to foster interest
in classical ballet, provide world class dance training, offer serious
dancers an opportunity to perform regularly, and provide programs
of high artistic quality.
The Mississippi Metropolitan Ballet, founded
in 1992, was the first arts organization to call the Madison County
Cultural Center its home. As the young company began to grow, it
attracted talented dancers from the greater metropolitan Jackson
area and nearby cities and soon became widely regarded for its performances
of the "Nutcracker" and its annual dinner theater on the cultural
center main stage.
The company has performed with the Mississippi
Symphony Orchestra. Their mission is to foster interest in classical
ballet, provide world class dance training, offer serious dancers
an opportunity to perform regularly, and provide programs of high
artistic quality
