Mississippi Opera
The Mississippi Opera has been referred to as
"MississippiÕs Most Musical Theatre" and praised for its
beautifully staged productions. International critics have hailed
the group as one of the nationÕs oldest companies, established in
1944. Seasoned veterans and aspiring newcomers give life to classics
like ÒLa BohemeÓ and ÒLa Traviata.
Mississippi Opera counts one of the all-time greatest
voices--Leontyne Price--as one of its own, so when young artists
perform under the stage lights, they are keenly aware of the talent
that has come before them.
