Jackson Zoological Park has grown to offer visitors more than 120 species of animals, including eighteen endangered species. Friends of the Zoo maintains an annual membership of over 5,000 and the Docent Council is active in both adult and junior categories. Additionally, the Zoo offers educational programs for children and teachers with curriculum-based.

The Greater Jackson Arts Council is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization that works in public/private partnership with the City of Jackson and the Jackson Convention & Visitors Bureau. Our agency also receives public funding from the Mississippi Arts Commission, Hinds County Board of Supervisors, U.S. Department of Education, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
